The prices of 19 kg commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder have been increased, which ranges from ₹42 to ₹ ₹53.50 in four major cities. However, no change in the rates of domestic cooking gas used by households have been made.
The price of a commercial LPG cylinder has been hiked by ₹42 in Delhi, and will now be available for ₹3,113.50. Its price has been hiked by ₹43.5 in Mumbai, and will now be available for ₹3,067.50.
In Kolkata, the price of a commercial LPG has been increased by ₹53.5, and will now come at ₹3,255.50. In Chennai, it will be available for ₹3,283 with a price rise of ₹42.
This price increase of commercial LPG is amid rising cost of energy globally driven by West Asia tension.
Used by hotels, restaurants and other businesses, commercial LPG is considered to be their life-line. The rise is likely to increase cost of products and may be passed on to consumer.
