Acme Greentech Twenty, a subsidiary of Acme Solar has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for 300 MW/1,200 MWh of assured peak supply. The project targets to fulfill evening and night-time peak electricity demand while supporting grid stability as India expands its renewable energy capacity.
As per a statement by Acme Solar, the FDRE project will deliver 4 MWh per MW of contracted capacity over any four non-solar hours each day, backed by a minimum 90 percent availability guarantee.
Under SECI’s FDRE-IX tranche, electricity supply will begin on October 6, 2026, at a fixed rate of ₹6 per unit. To fulfill its obligations, the project combines solar power with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) tech while utilizing existing night-time connectivity. According to the company, this agreement expands its under-construction PPA-signed portfolio to 4,310 MW out of an overall 5,380 MW under-construction pipeline.
