The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended Rathin Mitra as the next Director (Personnel) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal on Tuesday. At present, he is working at Coal India Limited, the mother company of WCL as General Manager (Coordination).
The recommendation was given by PESB from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed on Tuesday by the PESB.
Following the appointment as Director (Personnel) of WCL, Mitra will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD).
Additionally, he will also hold responsibility for coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.
