India, along with other G20 nations has adopted four consensus outcomes across infrastructure approvals, water reuse, household energy access and secure critical-mineral supply chains at a meeting held in Houston, Texas, hosted by the White House National Energy Dominance Council, the departments of Energy and the Interior, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
They supported accessible options such as replacing LPG with traditional biogas in households which will support developing countries to move to cleaner cooking fuels. Also, they emphasised the need for more predictable and faster government permitting processes for energy infrastructure projects.
Moreover, the countries initiated a voluntary water-reuse initiative to recycle water based on its manufacturing, community sectors and its quality across farming. The members agreed upon working together to diversify and secure the supply chain of critical minerals via innovation, shared data and joint investments.
