Educational Qualification

Candidate must have:

Postgraduate Degree in Chemistry
Minimum 2 years' duration
Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/Grade
Must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at graduation level
Plus minimum 9 years post-qualification relevant work experience.

2. Relevant Experience

The candidate should have at least 9 years of relevant post-qualification experience as:

Chemist involved in Drilling and/or Workover Operations, or
Drilling Fluid Specialist, or Relevant line-functional executive experience.

3. Experience may be from:

Central Government
State Government
Government organisations
PSUs
Autonomous bodies
Private-sector organisations

The experience can be permanent, fixed-term or contractual. Oil & Gas sector experience is preferred.

4. Job Responsibilities

Preparing, testing and maintaining drilling/workover fluids.
Ensuring required rheological properties and quality control.
Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and HSE requirements.
Planning and managing wellsite chemicals, equipment and consumables.
Managing calibration, inventory, documentation and reporting.
Ensuring uninterrupted fluid supply.
Supporting cementing, oil spotting, loss-control and well-kick management.
Supervising recycling/reuse of drilling fluids.
Tracking stock movement and consumption.
Managing chemical operations at drilling/workover sites.
Maintaining operational records and reconciliation.
Conducting physical verification of chemicals, equipment, assets and field inventory.
