Pushp Kumar Nayar is the new Director for Human Resources in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL). This development comes after his appointment became effective on May 27 after the approval from the company’s board and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Nayar has over 35 years of experience crisscrossing varied functions in operation and leadership in the energy and infrastructure ecosystem. Prior to assuming the present role, he was BPCL’s Executive Director (Corporate HR). His stints also included regional business operations, corporate headquarters functions, supply chain management, retail business operations and lubricants business leadership.
Nayar’s appointment as BPCL’s Human Resources Director is amid energy sector’s transformation, which is witnessing initiatives such as building a future-proof human resource pool shaped by technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and a quest for operational efficiency.
