Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has appointed Venkata Subrahamanayam Vallurie as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective July 1. Presently, he is the company’s Chief General Manager (Finance & Accounts).
Vallurie is a cost accountant and has over 35 years of experience. During his career, he gained experience in PGCIL’s financial accounting, resource mobilisation, ERP implementation, internal audit and finance operations.
This development has come at a time when India is witnessing an expansion of transmission sector to support renewable energy integration and rising electricity demand. A formidable financial leadership will play a crucial role in capital mobilisation and large infrastructure management.
