Union Minister for petroleum and natural gas Hardeep Singh Puri on Tuesday gave an assurance of no fuel supply issue amid West Asia conflict. He informed that the government has increased production of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) from 35,000-36,000 tonnes a day to 54,000 tonnes.
Addressing Annual Business Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Singh said that the country is not experiencing LPG supply issue, as India has 60 days of crude oil and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), and 45 days of LPG, ensuring no immediate threat of a shortage.
While many nations have faced skyrocketing prices and fuel shortages over the last few months, the minister said that India has managed to keep domestic prices relatively stable. Puri urged industry leaders and its constituents to shift from LPG to LNG and move towards green energy.
