Atul Gupta Appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Engineers India Limited.

Atul Gupta has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) by Engineers India Limited (EIL), as announced by the company on Monday, following the approval of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

He has assumed charge as CMD with immediate effect and will hold office until his date of superannuation on October 31, 2029, or until further orders. Prior to this appointment, he served at EIL as the Director (Commercial).

Gupta brings around 30 years of experience across multiple sectors including refineries, petrochemicals, pipelines and fertilisers. He holds expertise in leading cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) workflows, overseeing technical processes, contract negotiations, manufacturing, and final commissioning.

He is an alumnus of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Prior to his appointment, Praveen M. Khanooja (IA&AS), Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), held the additional charge of EIL's CMD post following the superannuation of Vartika Shukla on February 28.
