The Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) has planned to issue a tender for the development of a pilot solar power project with a minimum capacity of 4 MW on the elevated section of the Delhi-Dehradun Highway. The project will be implemented under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode as part of Phase I of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) solar power initiative.

As per a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT), SECI will select the project developer via a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The project serves as a pilot scheme to harness highway space for solar energy by constructing a solar PV plant on the elevated highway section.

The tender is titled “Request for Selection (RfS) Document for Selection of Solar Power Developer for setting up Solar PV Power Project of minimum 4 MW capacity for NHAI under RESCO mode (Phase-I).” The initiative aims to select a developer to execute the solar generation project under the terms defined in the detailed tender documents.

According to a statement by SECI, the bidding documents will be made available shortly on the ISN-ETS portal, the SECI website and the Central Public Procurement Portal (CPP Portal). Interested bidders are suggested to monitor these portals or the release of the RfS document and subsequent notices, amendments and clarifications, as separate notifications will not be issued.
