Premier Energies Ltd has commissioned a manufacturing facility at Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh of 7 GW N-type TOPCon G12R solar cell, and commenced trial production, increasing the company’s manufacturing capacity to 10.6 GW.
The facility is targeting an average solar cell efficiency of approximately 25.8 percent. It is designed on Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) to recycle and reuse the water, highlighting Premier Energies’ focus on responsible resource utilisation and sustainable manufacturing.
The announcement is followed by Premier Energies' August intimation regarding the operationalisation of its new 7 GW TOPCon cell manufacturing facility, with an upgrade expected by the third quarter. The company is currently operational on the fully automated 5.6 GW module. Its cell manufacturing plants have operated at a record capacity utilisation of 92 per cent.
The company trial production at the 5.6 GW module facility was announced back in March 2026. With this addition, the manufacturing capacity reaches 11.1 GW.
