India and South Korea have started negotiations for cooperation on issues related to environmental conservation and the shift towards green energy, which includes civil nuclear energy, green hydrogen, and renewables, ANI reports quoting the Indian Embassy in Seoul.
India's Ambassador to South Korea, Gourangalal Das, met the Chairman of the Environment, Climate, Energy, and Labour Committee in the National Assembly Kim Jung-ho.
The Indian Embassy posted on X, “Ambassador met Chairman of the Environment, Climate, Energy and Labour Committee of the National Assembly, Kim Jung-ho and explored areas of cooperation between India and the ROK in the domain of environment, energy transition including nuclear energy, green hydrogen and renewable energy.”
In recent weeks, India’s envoy has met with several South Korean lawmakers to foster closer ties between the two countries.
On September 3, Ambassador Das held a meeting with Kim Seong-won, who chairs the Trade, Industry, Energy, SMEs and Startups Committee. The two planned on strengthening economic cooperation and building stronger supply chains.
