Grauer & Weil India and RENA Technologies signed an MoU to launch a wet chemical solar equipment joint venture by 2027.

The joint venture seeks to design, manufacture, assemble, market, and maintain wet chemical processing equipment, additives, and related technologies for solar photovoltaic (PV) applications in India. The two will begin operations in early 2027.

Before the joint venture becomes official, RENA intends to continue serving its solar clients through its current business activities.

Growth is expected with investments throughout the solar manufacturing value chain, including polysilicon, ingots, wafers, cells, and modules.

Wet chemical processing plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process of solar cells and wafers. It affects cell efficiency, production yield, and reliability. Equipment used in wet chemical processing is essential to the manufacture of solar cells. Currently, leading wet processing equipment comes from Germany and China.
