Ceigall India Ltd has commissioned a fresh 5 MW solar power plant via its fully owned subsidiary Ceigall Green Energy MH2 Ltd in Ranjangaon Deshmukh in Kopargaon Taluka, Ahilyanagar district, Maharashtra.
As per the commissioning of a new solar power plant, the operational solar capacity of the subsidiary has been increased from existing 5 MW to 10 MW. The first 5 MW solar power plant at this site had been commissioned earlier than its actual timeline and thus the project qualifies for early commissioning incentive as per Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0).
The newly commissioned capacity is integrated with the 33/11 kV Ranjangaon substation of MSEDCL and the generated power will be supplied to MSEDCL.
The 10 MW operational capacity forms a part of 147 MW solar power plant project which is being undertaken by Ceigall Green Energy MH2 Limited under the MSKVY 2.0 program initiated by the Government of Maharashtra.
Ramneek Sehgal, the company CMD stated that the commissioning of the additional capacity before schedule indicates the strength of execution capacity of the company. He went on to state that the company was building up its renewable energy capacity while working towards the clean energy targets of Maharashtra.
The company in its statement said that it intends to build up its footprint in the field of renewable energy including utility scale solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
