NHPC Ltd has appointed Rajesh Kumar Singh (IRSS) as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO). He is a 2002-batch officer of the Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS).
Also, he will retain additional charge of a regular CVO at NHPC for six months from the date of taking office or until further notice. At present, he is stationed at Power Finance Corporation (PFC) as CVO.
Singh is an alumnus of IIT Roorkee with a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication. He also holds an M.Tech in Communication Systems from IIT (BHU), Varanasi. Moreover, he has completed a Senior Leadership Programme in Malaysia, China and Singapore.
Singh brings more than 20 years of experience in Indian Railways and has held major positions across NER, Banaras Division, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations) and Chief Materials Manager at Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli.
At Modern Coach Factory, he held responsibilities of overseeing procurement activities. His experience also includes procurement, vigilance, information technology and material management, besides managing cross-functional teams.
